After reading this blog... I am so grateful for your obedience in having a youth conference called Total Abandonment. What a tool in the hand of the Lord to mold, make, fashion and equip soldiers in the army of God! Just like Paul wrote to Timothy... so you are writing on the tablets of young men and women's hearts. It is a must for them to hear from the apostolic voice! There is indeed a remnant who are completely and totally sold out, whose confidence comes from their Maker. As a believer, I refuse to be phony. That itself has impacted my vision for my life. People have said that this is the generation that has" jumped off the end of the crazy bridge". However I believe that this generation has become more expressive than the ones of the past. We have become so technilogically advanced that we can promote whatever kind of obscurity that we want to and dress it up. We have come into a time where we are beginning to see things that we have never seen before. This is not a bad thing, however if there is wrong stuardship, it can turn into just that. Everyday more and more "rights" are being added to the states. Same sex marriages, abortions. and compromise is something that has been embraced in today's culture. However, I don't believe that we are too "far gone". God has called us to be a people to challenge the culture. We are soldiers in the army of the Lord, and we are strong. Greater is He who is in us, than He that is in the World. John the Baptist was a voice in the desert and his sound waves are still traveling today. They find identity 'in' their clothes, 'in' their music, 'in' their neighborhoods, 'in' their relationships. As soon as this generation finds their identity 'in' Christ, then nothing will stop them (us)! Thank you Bishop for helping us find that true identity!
