So often we allow the circumstances of our life to rob us of “His good pleasure”. As believer’s we tend to measure our blessings by what I call the “misery and regret” meter. Knowing we were born with purpose, we become hindered by our own sense of inadequacy, insecurities, and twisted emotional well-being. Regret over things we did that we shouldn’t have done … and regret over things we should have done and didn’t … rise up like a trumpet to greet so many each morning.
However, I was reflecting this morning on God’s grace and His unconditional love for us! His mercies are NEW every morning! Before the world began, He saw me and desired that I be His “own special possession”. It is liberating to know that He accepts us, loves us, forgives us, and empowers us — it is in Him we live and have our being!!
